Imagine a village not so far from here, where lived a humble storyteller who one day found himself invited to dine with a powerful gatekeeper. This gatekeeper was not like the others in the village; he held the keys to the vast knowledge that flowed through to the people. The villagers relied on him to find what they sought, believing his promises that all were welcome to share their tales.
As they dined, the storyteller’s heart began to race. The gatekeeper spoke with confidence, assuring that he had learned from his past mistakes and now allowed all voices to be heard. But the storyteller, who had seen much of the world, sensed something amiss. He leaned in and asked, "Tell me, dear gatekeeper, do you truly allow all stories to be told, or do you only let in those that please you?"
The gatekeeper paused, his smile faltering, and admitted that while many tales were welcome, there were some that he quietly turned away, thinking them unfit for the village. The storyteller knew this all too well, having seen the fate of a young archer whose skillful tales of marksmanship were buried deep, while her stories of womanly beauty were displayed for all to see.
As the night wore on, the storyteller grew troubled. He knew the gatekeeper had immense power over what the villagers saw and heard. Many were drawn to the more enticing stories, while growing increasingly suspicious of hidden truths being kept from them.
But the storyteller was not one to walk away. He knew that justice and truth needed champions. So he returned to his small corner of the village and began to build a place where all tales, no matter the viewpoint, could be heard. He called it Freespoke—a gathering where the full tapestry of life could be seen, where no perspective was turned away, and where the minds of the villagers could flourish without the chains of bias.
And so, the storyteller invited all who sought the truth to join him, to stand against the powerful gatekeepers who would control what they knew and believed. He knew the battle would be long, but he also knew that with each voice that joined the chorus, the village would grow stronger, freer, and wiser. And perhaps, one day, the gatekeepers themselves would see that true power lies in the telling, not in the silencing.
The end.
